Means alot to me! I am a 20 year Windows veteran. My last Apple was an
Apple IIe. All it took for me was to see Windows XP running in a window on
a 24' iMac. I thought, how incredible. I bought one.

I told the Apple rep, if you had someone stand here and demo this capability
to Windows users, you would sell one of these every time.

I was introduced to the Apple department at CompUSA when I was browsing
around to upgrade my PC. He said, 'ever looked at an Apple?'. I said 'Naa,
I am a developer and been using these windows machines for years.'. He
said, 'come look at this' and the rest is history.

It is breathtaking for us that haven't seen an OS like OSX take command of
the machine and operate so seamlessly like it does. I have adopted the
motto, 'It just works!'. This is what an OS should be. After driving my
iMac, it is like jumping back into my old jalopy when starting up Windows.

And what a combo that Parallels gives you! I have a large investment in
Windows software. So now I have the best of both world's. I don't have to
totally retool to use the Mac. I can use what I have in the Windows side
and replace the software on the Mac side as I upgrade in the future.

Gosh. This is PC ecstasy!

David

Subject: [MacPeople] New beta of Parallels

This new beta of Parallels is incredible. Due to Parallels, two co-workers
and two friends have bought MacBook Pro and iMac computers in the last
month. Our corporate Apple rep is elated. Co-workers keep bring others into
my office and say 'Demo Coherence for them!' [Coherence makes Windows apps
appear to run like Mac apps, putting the Windows app in separate window and
it's own dock icon - it's weird to see Internet Explorer running with a Mac
background...]

Yesterday, I set a MacBook Pro for our Chief Information Officer. Our chief
programmer saw the coherence feature of Parallels and said 'Order me one!
How soon can I have one of these?' These are die hard Windows guys.

This may not mean much to most folks, but the Intel Macs and Parallels
and/or VMware Fusion are getting the Mac into the enterprise market.
