RE: [MinMan] Rip van Winkle question... what happened to Spiratone?

Thanks! I didn't realize they had been gone so long. I thought they may have faded away in the 90's, but I seldom bought from
them. Recently tried to locate an odd adapter that they probably would have had and then noticed their absense. Makes sense that
only Fred had the vision and business moxie for that empire. An ad for his biography or autobiography mentioned that he had been a
salesman in several leading NYC stores before getting his business inspiration for Spiratone so that could have given him the
product and customer knowledge to last up to the days of autofocus mounts.

] My understanding was that when Fred Spria passed, his children tried to carry the business on. I recollect somebody
] saying they were not the good buisnessman Fred Spira was. I think they went out of business in the early to middle
] 1980's. As a kid, I used to drool over all the qwirky hard to find elsewhere items in his ads.
