| [Self-Publishing] Re: Baker & Taylor

I know that B&T is a big, bureaucratic frustration. But, if you need access to the traditional bookstore channel, and you can't get into Ingram's on your own, you haven't many choices. Putting B&T on more severe terms will limit your bookstore sales severely, in almost every case.
Finding a useful person, who can explain to you what you need to do in order to minimize the friction, is always important when dealing with bureaucracies, as I'm sure you know.
Weigh the costs and the benefits carefully, before you close this door. And, consider ways to get to your customers that don't involve mass distribution channels. Then consider how many books you can realistically expect to move that way. Numbers tend to make decisions a little clearer.
Good luck,
